Girls' Generation (시대 시대 / Sonyeo Sidae) also known as SNSD, is a South Korean pop group created by SM Entertainment in 2007. The group originally had nine members: Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri , Sooyoung, Yoona, Seohyun and Jessica. On September 30, 2014 Jessica left the group.
Girls' Generation debuted in 2007 with their Korean eponymous debut album. Although the album gained a bit of attention, it was not until 2009 that the group rose to fame with the single "Gee", which won first place at the KBS Music Bank for a record of nine consecutive weeks and was Named the most popular song of the 2000s in South Korea by Melon. Girls' Generation further cemented its popularity in the South Korean music scene with singles "Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)", "Oh!" And "Run Devil Run," which were released in mid-2009 and early 2010.

Kim Tae-yeon : She born March 9, 1989, more often credited only as Taeyeon, is a South Korean singer. Born in Jeonju, North Jeolla, Taeyeon was a trainee at S.M. Entertainment's Starlight Academy during middle school and debuted as a member of S.M.
Lee Soon-kyu: She born May 15, 1989, known professionally as Sunny, is an American singer and actress currently based in South Korea.She debuted as a member of girl group Girls' Generation in August 2007, who went on to be one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of South Korea's most popular girl groups worldwide.
Stephanie Young Hwang: She born August 1, 1989, known professionally as Tiffany or Tiffany Hwang, is an American singer based in South Korea. Born and raised in California, she was discovered by South Korean entertainment agency S.M. Entertainment at the age of fifteen and subsequently moved to South Korea.

Kim Hyo-yeon: She born September 22, 1989, better known mononymously as Hyoyeon, is a South Korean singer and television personality. She debuted as a member of girl group Girls' Generation in August 2007, who went on to be one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of South Korea's most popular girl groups worldwide.
Kwon Yu-ri: She born December 5, 1989, better known by the mononym Yuri, is a South Korean singer and actress. She debuted as a member of girl group Girls' Generation in August 2007, who went on to be one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of South Korea's most popular girl groups worldwide.
Choi Soo-young: She born February 10, 1990, better known by the mononym Sooyoung, is a South Korean singer and actress. She was a part of the short-lived Korean-Japanese singing duo, Route θ, during 2002 in Japan.
Im Yoon-ah: She born May 30, 1990, better known by the mononym Yoona, is a South Korean singer and actress. She debuted as a member of girl group Girls' Generation in August 2007, who went on to become one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of South Korea's most popular girl groups worldwide.
Seo Ju-hyun: She born June 28, 1991, known professionally as Seohyun, is a South Korean singer and actress. She debuted as a member of girl group Girls' Generation (and later its subgroup TTS) in August 2007, who went on to be one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of South Korea's most popular girl groups worldwide.
Jessica Sooyoun Jung: She born April 18, 1989, known professionally as Jessica, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, model, fashion designer and businesswoman currently based in South Korea. Born and raised in San Francisco, California.Jessica was the first member of the group to sign with S.M. Entertainment in 2000. In 2007, she was chosen as a member of the group Girls' Generation.
On September 30, 2014, Jessica announced on her personal Weibo account that she had been "forced out" of the group. S.M. Entertainment later confirmed this, stating that Jung would no longer be a member of Girls' Generation due to continuing schedule conflicts.
